Samuel Eto'o has been named as the interim boss of Turkish top-flight team Antalyaspor.
The Cameroon international only joined the club on a three-year playing deal in June, but has now been placed in charge after Yusuf Simsek left his position at the helm.
The news was revealed in a statement issued by Antalyaspor president Gultekin Gencer.
"We sat down with [technical director] Mehmet Ugurlu and Eto'o. Both will jointly coordinate training. The board commissioned Ugurlu and Eto'o to assume coaching duties until a new coach is found," Gencer told DHA.
Eto'o, 34, will reportedly still make himself available for selection on the field despite taking on a staff role.
