Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho wants Arsenal out of Champions League

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho explains why he does not want Arsenal to progress into the last 16 of the Champions League.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has claimed that he would prefer Olympiacos to progress into the final 16 of the Champions League at the expense of Arsenal.

Arsene Wenger's side need to beat the Greek team by two goals in the final round of group matches in order to reach the next phase of the competition.

Arsenal are currently third in Group F, three points adrift of second-placed Olympiacos and six behind leaders Bayern Munich.

"[Arsenal] are in a group where a kid friend of mine Marco Silva is the manager of Olympiacos," the Daily Star quotes Mourinho as saying.

"It would be fantastic for the kid's career to go through, so I have to be honest and say that I would like the kid and Olympiacos to go on."

Chelsea have the chance of topping Group G should they defeat Porto in their final match.
