Lukas Podolski delighted by Arsenal triumph

Lukas Podolski admits that he is "very happy" with Arsenal's 4-1 win away to Galatasaray in the Champions League.

Lukas Podolski has revealed that he is "very happy" with helping Arsenal to a 4-1 win away to Galatasaray in the Champions League.

The Germany international scored twice on Tuesday night as the Gunners ended their Group D campaign with a comfortable victory in Turkey.

Arsenal will go into the draw for the last 16 as runners-up after finishing behind group winners Borussia Dortmund.

"We came here and left some players at home but you could see the mentality of the team in the first half was very good and the performance was as well," Podolski told the club's official website.

"Of course we are very happy. We won away in Turkey against a good team. It is always difficult to play in Turkey, with the atmosphere and the fans, but we did it well and we won 4-1, which is good."

Arsenal are back in Premier League action on Saturday when they welcome Newcastle United to the Emirates Stadium.
