Arsenal director Josh Kroenke confirms that his father Stan has no intention of selling the club despite the recent European Super League fiasco.

Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke has no intention of selling the club, according to his son Josh.

The 73-year-old's company KSE have owned the Gunners outright since 2018, but they have been widely criticised during their time at the helm and intended to sign Arsenal up for the European Super League before withdrawing.

Journalist Kaveh Solhekol recently reported that one owner was close to "throwing the towel in" and putting his club up for sale, but Josh Kroenke - a director at Arsenal - announced KSE's desire to remain in charge.

When asked about a possible sale of the club during a fans forum on Thursday evening, Kroenke said: "I am not willing to answer that question because we have no intention of selling.

"I believe we are fit to carry on in our position as custodians of Arsenal. We were put in a very difficult position by forces outside of the club. We have the same plans for summer that we had several weeks ago and I'm still excited about those.

"So I might be met with mistrust, I might be met with scepticism, but over time I hope to establish some sort of relationship with our supporter groups and show them that we are capable of taking our club forward."

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that he received an apology from the club's owners over the European Super League fiasco, but Gunners fans are planning to protest against Kroenke before Friday's Premier League clash with Everton.
