Half-Time Report: Arsenal being held by West Bromwich Albion

West Bromwich Albion remain level with Arsenal at half time after Ben Foster makes a string of saves to keep the visitors from scoring.

Arsenal have headed into half time level with West Bromwich Albion despite creating the majority of the chances in the opening 45 minutes at The Hawthorns this afternoon.

Arsenal made an attacking start to the match, but both Santi Cazorla and Alexis Sanchez fired early chances straight at Ben Foster, leaving the keeper with a couple of easy saves.

Danny Welbeck tried to weave his way into the box, but Andre Wisdom marked him closely to stop him getting the cross in before making the clearance.

Arsenal continued to look the more likely as the half went on, with Welbeck forcing a stop from Foster as he tried to hit in a rebound from a Sanchez free kick, which had been blocked by the wall.

Foster continued to keep the hosts on level terms as Welbeck set up Cazorla just after the half-hour mark after a quick break involving Olivier Giroud and Aaron Ramsey, but it was a comfortable save for the keeper.

A mistake from Youssouf Mulumbu almost gifted the Gunners an opening goal shortly before the break when he left a loose ball for Cazorla, but Ramsey fired wide after being played in by his teammate.
