The Arsenal board are reportedly unwilling to sack manager Arsene Wenger, even if the Gunners fail to qualify for next season's Champions League campaign.

The Arsenal hierarchy reportedly have no intention of dismissing manager Arsene Wenger, despite increasing outside pressure on his position at the Emirates.

The Frenchman's job has come under scrutiny following the North London outfit's exit from the FA Cup and slumping to a 3-1 defeat to Bayern Munich, which has made their chances of progressing to the next phase of the Champions League unlikely.

Despite the club's uncertain position, it is understood that majority shareholder Stan Kroenke and the board of directors will not sack Wenger, even if Arsenal fail to qualify for the Champions League by the end of the campaign, according to BBC Sport journalist David Ornstein.

Meanwhile, the Gunners are due to face Aston Villa on home turf on Saturday in the Premier League, where they reside four points away from a Champions League spot.
