Hector Bellerin: 'Arsenal deserved to beat Chelsea'

Hector Bellerin claims that Arsenal should have beaten Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium instead of drawing 0-0.

Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin has claimed that his team deserved to beat Chelsea following Sunday's goalless draw at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners squandered a number of chances during the game as Chelsea left North London with an important point in their quest for the Premier League title.

Having been the dominant side throughout the contest, Bellerin believes that Arsenal should have come away with the spoils.

"We were on a strong run, so we knew it was going to be tough," he told the club's official website. "We didn't have many chances in the second half but the team worked really hard, we stopped them really well and did well on their counter-attacks.

"We probably deserved a bit more because we had a few chances, especially in the first half, but that's the way games go. Sometimes you win, sometimes you don't and that's what happened here."

Arsenal are back in action on May 4 when they travel to Hull City in the league.
