Yossi Benayoun has revealed that he has not played as often as he would have liked during his loan spell with Arsenal.

The 31-year-old moved from Chelsea over the summer on a deal until the end of the season.

However, the Israeli wishes that Arsene Wenger had used him more than the 22 times that he has played during the campaign.

"I have not played as much as I want, but it is great to be at a club like Arsenal." he said. "The dressing room is so great and to be at a big club is always nice.

"It has been up and down this season for me. I try to be focused and concentrated but it's not easy. I was waiting all the time for my chance.

"A few times in the season I got my chance and then didn't get another for a long time. But in big clubs, you have to be patient."

Benayoun scored his fourth goal for the Gunners on Wednesday night in their 3-0 win at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
