Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta believes that there could be room for William Saliba at the Emirates for the 2022-23 season.
The 20-year-old is yet to make a first-team appearance for the Gunners since joining from Saint-Etienne and is currently in his third loan spell away from the club at Marseille.
Saliba has earned plenty of plaudits for his performances at the Orange Velodrome - in particular his last-ditch tackle on Kylian Mbappe in Le Classique - which has led to calls from Arsenal fans to integrate him into the first team next season.
Arteta has now responded to those calls, telling reporters: "As a club we are always in touch. Edu and Ben [Knapper] were there to watch him [against PSG] and keep a close eye on the progress he's making. Obviously, he's our player.
"I think there is room. It will depend on what happens with other players and that's not a conversation to have now."
Saliba has already made 12 appearances for Marseille in all competitions this season but has only turned out eight times for Arsenal's Under-23s so far.
