Newcastle United players involved in argument with fans

A group of four Newcastle United players were involved in an argument with fans as they travelled home following their 4-0 defeat to Arsenal on Sunday.

A group of four Newcastle United players were involved in an argument with fans as they travelled home following their 4-0 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

Danny Rose, Nabil Bentaleb, Allan Saint-Maximin and Christian Atsu chose to return to their base on the train because of the high winds, while the rest of the squad took a chartered jet.

Footage has since emerged of the players engaging in a row with some fans also on board, with Bentaleb captured responding to questions about the side's effort during the match.

According to The Sun, the club have played down the incident and are not taking any further action against the players.

All four reported for training on Tuesday and could be involved in Newcastle's next fixture.

The Magpies are now 13th in the Premier League table, seven points clear of the relegation places.
