Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil feels that his side have become more united since Mikel Arteta replaced Unai Emery in December.

Mesut Ozil has admitted that he and his Arsenal teammates are "much happier" under Mikel Arteta compared to Unai Emery.

The Gunners brought in Arteta as Emery's permanent successor in December and have won three out of nine matches since he officially took charge.

Despite some mixed results and performances, however, Ozil - who struggled for minutes during Emery's tenure - feels Arsenal are now more united as a group.

"As a team, we are much happier and everyone wants to give everything for this club," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

"Especially tactically we improve a lot and I hope in the future we will be more successful."

Arsenal's players are currently in Dubai taking part in a warm-weather training camp ahead of next Sunday's home league clash with Newcastle United.

Meanwhile, Arteta is rumoured to be preparing a mass clear-out ahead of his first full campaign in the Emirates Stadium hotseat.
