Aaron Ramsey urges Arsenal to build on Bournemouth win

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey urges his side to build on their victory over Bournemouth as they look to re-establish themselves in the Premier League title race.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has urged his side to build on their victory over Bournemouth as they look to drag themselves back into the title race.

The Gunners began today eight points behind leaders Leicester City following a four-match winless streak in the league, but goals from Mesut Ozil and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain saw them return to winning ways with a 2-0 triumph at the Vitality Stadium this afternoon.

Both goals arrived within 90 seconds of each other in the first half, and Ramsey believes that such a quickfire brace effectively put the game to bed.

"The game was won in the first half really. The boys responded really well and we go back to winning ways. Hopefully we can keep this run going now," he told Sky Sports News.

"I am pleased for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. It was a good performance from him today and hopefully he can keep up the form."

The win lifts Arsenal up to third in the table, behind North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur on goal difference.
