Arsenal captain Robin van Persie has said that former teammate Kolo Toure treated him like a brother from the moment he arrived at the club in 2004.
Manchester City defender Toure returns to the Emirates Stadium to face his former teammate this afternoon, but the Dutchman insists that he still considers him "a great person".
"I remember what he did for me when I first arrived at Arsenal," he said.
"On my first day here, he said to me 'Robin, you can see me as your older brother.' It's things like that you don't forget. I rate him as a great player, but behind that there is a great person too."
Toure made over 200 appearances for the Gunners in seven seasons at the club.
