Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that he has the full support of the club's board.
The Frenchman also claims that his policy of not spending lavishly on signings has proved useful to the Gunners.
"I believe I have always had the support from the board, and am very grateful for that," BBC Sport quotes Wenger as saying.
"We have worked over the years in respecting in what we did, which is to always work within our financial resources.
"Therefore we made decisions which, from outside, looked not based on purely football reasons, but it was based as well on financial reasons."
Arsenal are currently fifth in the Premier League table.
