Arsene Wenger "delighted" to tie down Theo Walcott, Santi Cazorla to new deals

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says that he is "delighted" to have agreed new deals with "top-quality" players Theo Walcott and Santi Cazorla.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has described Theo Walcott and Santi Cazorla as "hugely important and influential" after the pair signed new contracts at the Emirates.

Walcott, who is the club's current longest-serving player at the age of 26, put pen to paper on a four-year contract reportedly worth £140,000 a week.

Cazorla, who signed for the Gunners from Malaga in 2012, has also committed to a fresh long-term deal.

"We're delighted to have extended the contracts of Santi and Theo," Wenger told the club's official website. "Both are top-quality players who are hugely important and influential to our squad.

"As well as their huge contributions on the pitch, they both have a great deal of experience and are very popular off the pitch. We're very pleased with them both signing contract extensions, as it provides our squad with further stability of quality."

In terms of new arrivals, goalkeeper Petr Cech is the only player to come through the door following an £11m switch from Chelsea.
