Arsene Wenger believes that Arsenal's clash with Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday will "influence" the two clubs' bid to finish in the top four.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes that his side's clash with Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday will be important in deciding which club finish in the top four.

The Gunners are currently a point and a place behind behind their North London rivals in eighth in the Premier League.

"The results in the derbies can have a big influence on the Champions League qualifying spot," BBC Sport quotes Wenger as saying.

"They are always a team who are fighting with us now and what's important in the end is consistency."

Arsenal finished third in the Premier League last season, while Tottenham finished fourth.
