Arsene Wenger: 'Thierry Henry will return to Arsenal'

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes that Thierry Henry will return to the club in some capacity in the future.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has expressed his belief that Thierry Henry will return to the club in some capacity in the future.

The 37-year-old striker has been linked with a return to the Gunners in a coaching role after he announced on Monday that he will leave MLS side New York Red Bulls.

When asked about the future of Henry, who is Arsenal's record goalscorer, Wenger told BBC Sport: "I understand that he wants to reflect for a while on what he wants to do next.

"Certainly one day he will come back here. In what capacity, I don't know."

Henry played for Arsenal between 1999 and 2007 before returning for a short-term loan spell in 2012.
