Arsene Wenger pleased with Theo Walcott return

Arsene Wenger admits that it was pleasing to be able to welcome Theo Walcott back into the Arsenal team against Burnley following his lengthy injury layoff.

Arsene Wenger has admitted that it was "great" to see Theo Walcott return from injury in Arsenal's 3-0 victory over Burnley yesterday.

The England winger had been out of action since January with a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament, but returned to first-team action for the final 10 minutes of his side's comfortable Premier League home win.

"It's good I could give him 12 or 13 minutes today when the game was nearly won," Wenger told the club's official website.

"It's good that his decision making and movement are good - he just needs to get used to competition.

"For him it must be great as well to see that everybody wants him to come on."

The win lifted Arsenal up to fourth in the Premier League table.
