Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Liverpool could line up for Sunday's Premier League clash with Arsenal.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp must decide which formation to use against Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday, after switching to a 4-2-3-1 system for their 2-0 victory against Rangers in the Champions League last time out.

The Reds boss utilised Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez ahead of Thiago Alcantara and club captain Jordan Henderson in a midfield double pivot, with his side fashioning more clear cut chances as a result.

However, the Europa League runners-up did not offer much resistance or threat going in the other direction, meaning Klopp may feel more comfortable reverting to his preferred 4-3-3 system ahead of tricky league fixtures against Arsenal and Manchester City.

As such, Fabinho is likely to displace Nunez in the visitors' starting XI at the Emirates Stadium, with Diaz and Salah dovetailing either side of Jota in a front three.

Roberto Firmino may be factored into Klopp's thinking after bagging a brace against Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend, though, especially with the Brazilian boasting nine league goals in 13 matches against the Gunners during his Reds career.

Midfielders Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Arthur will all be absent with injury, but Curtis Jones could be a part of the travelling squad after returning to training on Thursday having missed the entire season so far with a calf injury.

Ibrahima Konate was named among the substitutes for the first time this campaign against Rangers after returning from a knee injury that he sustained in pre-season, but Liverpool are unlikely to make any changes to their back line, especially with Andrew Robertson potentially another week away from fully recovering from his own knee issue.

Liverpool possible starting lineup: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Henderson, Fabinho, Thiago; Salah, Jota, Diaz
