AC Milan have reportedly made an improved offer to midfielder Franck Kessie in the hope of tying him down to a new contract, amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.
The Ivory Coast international is a key figure in the Rossoneri's side, scoring 14 goals and providing six assists in 50 appearances for the club during the 2020-21 campaign.
Kessie's current contract with the Italian giants runs until next summer and the club are keen to retain his services beyond that date, but the 24-year-old rejected Milan's previous renewal worth around £4m.
According to Gazzetta, Kessie and his entourage are not willing to accept a deal worth less than £6m, and after failing to agree new terms with Hakan Calhanoglu and Gianluigi Donnarumma, the club are determined to not let Kessie leave on a free transfer next year.
Therefore, AC Milan have offered Kessie a new contract that meets his demands, which the midfielder is now expected to accept and prolong his stay at the Giuseppe Meazza.
During his four seasons with the Rossoneri so far, Kessie has scored 30 goals and provided 15 assists in 184 appearances for the club.
