Agent Massimo Brambati has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are one of a number of clubs who have expressed an interest in AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie.
Despite emerging as a key man at San Siro in recent seasons, the Ivory Coast international only has one year remaining on his contract.
Milan will continue to try to agree fresh terms with the 24-year-old having secured a return to the Champions League.
However, Brambati has suggested that I Rossoneri no longer hold any control over Kessie's future, hinting that the player will now take his time to assess his options.
Brambati is quoted by Tuttosport as saying: "Today, having a contract expiring in 2022 with an important player, one of Milan's strongest, is a danger. Here is a basic error by the club.
"Now Kessie is the one who holds the knife by the handle and can decide what is best for him rather than the club. I know that in addition to Inter [Milan] there are two Premier League teams interested in him, including Tottenham."
Kessie has just enjoyed one of the best campaigns of his career, contributing 14 goals and four assists in Serie A and the Europa League.
