Arsenal are reportedly in battle with Tottenham Hotspur over a double swoop for Corentin Tolisso and Ilaix Moriba.
The Gunners have bolstered their midfield ranks with the signing of Martin Odegaard on a permanent deal from Real Madrid, while the club's owners have also confirmed that Granit Xhaka has signed a new deal in North London.
However, Arsenal could yet be in the market for new faces in the engine room before the transfer window shuts, but Spurs are also rumoured to be eyeing midfield additions amid speculation surrounding Tanguy Ndombele's future.
One report from The Express claims that Arsenal and Spurs have been alerted to Tolisso's availability, but the Lilywhites have already seen a proposal including Ndombele knocked back by Bayern Munich.
Meanwhile, the Daily Mail claims that the two North London clubs are also two of the many sides seeking to strike a deal for unsettled Barcelona starlet Moriba, who has been banished to B team training amid a tense contract stand-off.
Tottenham are already thought to be closing in on the signing of one midfielder, though, with Metz teenager Pape Sarr reportedly set to sign a six-year deal with Nuno Espirito Santo's side.
