Arsenal and Chelsea are reportedly contemplating an offer for young Borussia Monchengladbach defender Kaan Kurt during the next transfer window.

Borussia Monchengladbach defender Kaan Kurt has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Arsenal and Chelsea.

The 18-year-old is yet to make his first-team debut for the Bundesliga outfit, instead representing the club's second-string outfit at the fourth tier.

However, The Sun claims that Arsenal and Chelsea are contemplating whether to make a bid for the teenager over the coming months.

The report suggests that the versatile full-back may be available for around £4m during the next transfer window - a fee potentially viewed as attractive given the current financial climate.

The Germany Under-19 international also has Turkish heritage, which has allegedly led to Fenerbahce monitoring the situation.

Kurt, who has made 13 outings this season, has just over two years remaining on his contract.
