Arsenal confident of beating Liverpool to Alexis Sanchez signature?

Arsenal are reportedly confident of beating Liverpool to the signature of Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez.

Arsenal are reportedly confident that they will fight off interest from Liverpool to sign Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona.

The Chile international has been named as a possible makeweight in the deal to take Luis Suarez from Anfield to the Camp Nou this summer.

However, widespread reports have claimed that the 25-year-old wants to stay at the Spanish club, but would prefer a switch to Arsenal should he be forced out of the door.

According to The Express, Arsenal are hopeful that they can secure Sanchez for £25m, despite the Catalan giants reportedly placing a £30m price tag on the player.

Arsenal are also said to be confident of signing Newcastle United's Mathieu Debuchy for a reported £10m.
