Arsenal eye a summer swoop for Fiorentina midfielder Jordan Veretout, according to a report.

Arsenal are reportedly considering a summer swoop for Fiorentina midfielder Jordan Veretout.

The 26-year-old, who scored five times in 33 Serie A appearances during the 2018-19 campaign, has previously played in the Premier League for Aston Villa.

The midfielder turned out on 29 occasions for Villa during the 2015-16 season before joining Fiorentina on a permanent deal in 2017 after a loan spell at Saint-Etienne.

According to L'Equipe, Arsenal are admirers of the former France Under-21 international and could attempt to land him in this summer's transfer window.

The Gunners only reportedly have around £40m to spend on new signings this summer. However, head coach Unai Emery could look to raise his budget by selling some big-name players.
