Arsenal are reportedly priced out of a move for £30m-rated Norwich City defender Max Aarons, who is also attracting the interest of Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal have supposedly been priced out of a move for Norwich City defender Max Aarons, who is said to be valued at £30m.

The 20-year-old has emerged as a highly sought-after prospect following an impressive campaign with the Canaries, and Aarons is said to have garnered interest from several Premier League sides.

Fierce North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are both said to be in the race for the right-back, but it appears that the latter will struggle to secure a deal for Aarons in the current financial climate.

According to Goal, Norwich will hold out for a £30m fee even if they make a swift return to the Championship - a figure which Arsenal are unlikely to hand over.

As the coronavirus pandemic brings with it serious financial implications for clubs across the globe, Mikel Arteta's side are supposedly turning their attention to swaps and part-exchange deals in order to combat a significantly reduced budget.

Aarons still has four years left to run on his Norwich contract.
