Arsenal are still eyeing up a move for Borussia Dortmund's Julian Brandt as they consider alternatives to Martin Odegaard, according to a report.
Odegaard has impressed since joining the Gunners on loan from Real Madrid in January, and Mikel Arteta is thought to be keen to land the Norwegian playmaker on a permanent deal.
However, a season without European football could hinder the club's chances of keeping Odegaard on the books, while Real Madrid supposedly want to integrate him into the first team next season.
As a result, Arsenal are rumoured to be stepping up their interest in Emiliano Buendia, but according to Kicker, the Gunners retain an interest in out-of-favour Dortmund playmaker Brandt.
Despite being under contract at the Westfalenstadion until 2024, Brandt could reportedly be available for a modest £21.5m, whereas the Gunners would have to fork out £40m to prise Buendia away from Norwich City this summer.
Brandt has featured from the first whistle on 16 occasions in the Bundesliga this season, claiming three goals and two assists in that time.
