Arsenal striker Park Chu-Young is reportedly being lined up by Wigan Athletic boss Owen Coyle on a short-term loan deal.
Park remains an Arsenal player despite failing to figure in Arsene Wenger's first-team plans at the Emirates, with the last of his six first-team appearances coming in 2012.
Wigan boss Coyle wants Park to help his side fight on two fronts this season and ease a growing injury list in attack, according to the Daily Mail.
The 28-year-old is desperate for first-team football to win his place back for South Korea, with the World Cup looming large next summer.
Wenger has loaned Coyle players in the past and is happy to sanction the potential deal if Wigan make a formal offer, according to the Daily Mail.
