Gary Bowyer unsure about Grant Hanley red card

Blackburn Rovers manager Gary Bowyer says that he will have to have another look at the red card given to Grant Hanley at the DW Stadium.

Blackburn Rovers manager Gary Bowyer has said that he is unsure of the circumstances surrounding Grant Hanley's red card against Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium.

The 21-year-old received his marching orders just after the half-hour mark when he appeared to strike out at Latics forward Nick Powell and completely changed the complex of the contest.

"I've not seen it again and I didn't see it in real time," PA quotes Bowyer as saying. "I didn't know what he got sent off for and as he came off I asked him what he did.

"I have to be honest I didn't understand him with the answer he gave me so I need to go and see it.

"It changed the course of the game because up until then we were very comfortable."

Owen Coyle's men went on to win 2-1 thanks to a last-minute strike from Emmerson Boyce.
