Arsenal are reportedly lining up a swoop for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan and Bayer Leverkusen's Lars Bender.

Arsenal will reportedly launch a £37m double swoop for Bundesliga stars Ilkay Gundogan and Lars Bender.

Gundogan enjoyed a fine season as his Borussia Dortmund side were beaten in the Champions League final by domestic rivals Bayern Munich and manager Arsene Wenger is ready to bid £20m for the midfielder, according to the Daily Mail.

Leverkusen midfielder Bender also caught the eye of the Gunners boss last term and the Frenchman will table an offer of around £17m for the 24-year-old.

Both moves will break the record £15m transfer fee that the club paid for Andrey Arshavin in 2009.
