Arsenal are reportedly set to rival Chelsea for the signing of Everton midfielder Amadou Onana.
The clubs are set to do battle in the transfer window once again, after the Blues beat their London rivals to Mykhaylo Mudryk.
Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri reports that the departure of Frank Lampard and the Toffees' urgent need for funds to help with their Financial Fair Play issues has opened the door for a January exit for the 21-year-old Onana.
Newcastle United are also interested in the midfielder, who is under contract until 2027 at Goodison Park, but Everton are understood to be determined to keep the player.
However, the sale of the 21-year-old could provide any new manager with a small amount of transfer funds, as the club battle to avoid their first relegation of the Premier League era.
The four-cap Belgium international has featured 18 times so far this season in the league, contributing with one goal and one assist.
