Atletico Madrid reportedly identify Arsenal starlet Bukayo Saka as a potential replacement for Saul Niguez, who could complete a permanent move to Chelsea in 2022.

Atletico Madrid are reportedly preparing to move for Arsenal starlet Bukayo Saka if Saul Niguez completes a permanent transfer to Chelsea next summer.

The Spaniard headed to Stamford Bridge on loan during transfer deadline day, with the Blues possessing the option to purchase him permanently for around £30m.

Should Thomas Tuchel decide to keep Saul on the books, Atletico will likely be in the market for a replacement, and Diego Simeone has supposedly already identified his leading target.

According to La Razon, the La Liga champions could seek to prise Saka away from Arsenal in the summer of 2022, but the Gunners will not let the 20-year-old leave on the cheap.

The report adds that Juventus are also considering a swoop for Saka, and Mikel Arteta's side would not entertain any bids lower than €50m (£42.8m) for the England international.

Saka remains contracted to Arsenal until 2024 and is still waiting for his first goal contribution of the new Premier League season.
