Unal Aysal: 'Joel Campbell will stay at Arsenal'

Galatasaray president Unal Aysal says that Joel Campbell will be staying with Arsenal this season.

Galatasaray president Unal Aysal has said that Joel Campbell will be staying at Arsenal this season.

The Costa Rican forward has been in high demand following an impressive World Cup, in which he helped his country eliminate England and Italy.

Aysal has admitted that Galatasary are interested in Campbell's services. However, he has revealed that Arsene Wenger won't allow him to leave.

He is quoted as saying by Sporx: "Yes, I want him for our team, but Arsene Wenger wants to keep him in the squad this season and benefit from him.

"Nothing's happening at the moment. Wenger won't allow this transfer."

Despite signing for the Gunners in 2011, Campbell is yet to make his debut for the club.
