Barcelona are reportedly trying to reach a deal with Leeds United for Raphinha, which would see the Catalan giants pay the first instalment of the fee next year.

Barcelona have reportedly asked Leeds United if they can pay the first instalment for Raphinha next year if a transfer is agreed between the two clubs.

Raphinha has been linked with a move away from Elland Road throughout the summer, with Arsenal being credited with showing interest, while Chelsea have had a bid accepted by the Yorkshire club.

Barcelona are also in the race to sign the Brazil international, although the Catalan giants have not yet matched Leeds' asking price.

According to talkSPORT, Barcelona have asked Leeds about the possibility of paying the first instalment of the transfer fee next year.

The report indicates that there are concerns within selling clubs about whether Barcelona could pay the first instalment next year due to their ongoing financial issues.

Amid rumours of a Leeds exit, Raphinha was left out of the squad for the pre-season tour of Australia.
