Portugal attacker Bernardo Silva reportedly tells Manchester City that he wants to leave the Premier League this summer.

Bernardo Silva has reportedly informed Manchester City that he wants to leave the Premier League this summer.

Citizens boss Pep Guardiola confirmed earlier this month that the Portugal international had told the English champions that he is looking to move on during this summer's transfer window.

Arsenal have been credited with an interest in the attacker, while there had been suggestions that he could be included in a swap deal with Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane.

However, according to The Times, Silva wants to leave the Premier League in the current market in order to move closer to his family.

The report claims that the Portuguese is keen on a switch to La Liga, where both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have been credited with an interest in his services.

The 27-year-old, who still has four years left to run on his contract at the Etihad Stadium, was an unused substitute in Man City's opening match of the 2021-22 Premier League season against Tottenham.
