Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is "loving his time" at Arsenal and would be happy to open up talks over a contract extension.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has said that he would be happy to open up talks with Arsenal over a contract extension.

The highly-rated midfielder, who moved to the Emirates from Southampton for £12m last summer, is tipped for great things with both the Gunners and England, for whom he featured at Euro 2012.

Big names such as Cesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri and Robin van Persie have left Arsenal in recent times and while Chamberlain has admitted that he has yet to hold discussions over a new deal, he has revealed that he sees his long-term future with the North London club.

"Obviously if Arsenal and myself wanted to sit down and talk about anything like that then that's really good because I'm loving my time at Arsenal," he said.

"I'm really enjoying playing for them so I'm planning on being there for a while so that's good.

"The only thing I'll be focusing on when I get back is working hard and getting in the team again."

Chamberlain was speaking at an England press conference ahead of the Three Lions' World Cup qualifier against Moldova on Friday.
