Cesc Fabregas says that he has no plans to leave Barcelona as he is confident of establishing himself as a key player for the Catalan giants.

Cesc Fabregas is confident that he can succeed at Barcelona and has no intention of leaving the Catalan giants.

The 25-year-old midfielder joined Barca from Arsenal in the summer of 2011 and has struggled for form since the middle of last season.

"I have a big heart, I have a strong character and I have the courage to carry on competing for my place," Fabregas is quoted saying in The Sun.

"It's a challenge I always wanted and it's just as hard as I expected, mainly because I am impatient to succeed."

Fabregas also underlined the change he has made to his playing style at Camp Nou.

"Both teams (Arsenal and Barcelona) play similar football," he explained. "But at Barcelona they have taught me if I stay in my position the ball will come to me and I will see far more of it than if I go looking for it.

"It has been a big change but I'm learning very fast now and my teammates have been amazingly supportive.

"I know that I can succeed here."

Fabregas has started all of Barcelona's four games in La Liga this season.
