Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus has reportedly insisted that he wishes to remain in the Premier League amid rumours of a move this summer.

The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in recent weeks, even before City secured the arrival of Erling Braut Haaland for the 2022-23 campaign from Borussia Dortmund.

With Haaland's arrival set to push Jesus down the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium, and with the Brazilian entering the final year of his contract in June, the Premier League holders could look to cash in on the striker this summer.

Amid reports of a potential move to the Gunners, The Sun are reporting that Jesus's agent has revealed to them that he wishes to stay in the English top flight.

The report outlines how it could take between £40m and £50m for Arsenal to secure his services, with the North London club on the hunt for a new striker this summer, owing to Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah potentially leaving on free transfers.

Since moving to City for around £29m in January 2017 from Brazilian side Palmeiras, Jesus has gone on to make 234 appearances for the Manchester club, scoring 95 goals, including 13 in 39 so far this season.
