Galatasaray are reportedly preparing to make a last-ditch attempt to sign Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny before the European transfer window closes at the start of September.
Elneny has been told by head coach Unai Emery that he is free to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer.
Galatasaray have previously been linked with a swoop for the 27-year-old, but it is understood that the midfielder's wage demands have proved to be an issue for the Turkish giants in the past.
According to The Mirror, the Istanbul outfit have not given up on signing Elneny, although the Egypt international is likely to have to accept a drop on his £55,000-a-week pay packet with the Gunners.
The midfielder has made 89 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions since a 2016 switch from Basel.
However, he only featured on eight occasions in the Premier League during the 2018-19 campaign and has not turned out for Emery's side in the early weeks of the new season.
