Bruno Genesio: 'Alexandre Lacazette could still leave Lyon'

Lyon manager Bruno Genesio says that striker Alexandre Lacazette could still leave the French club should they receive an improved offer.

Lyon manager Bruno Genesio has suggested that striker Alexandre Lacazette could still leave the French club before the end of the summer.

Arsenal have already had a big-money offer for Lacazette rejected by the Ligue 1 outfit but Genesio has acknowledged that he would be powerless to keep the 25-year-old should they receive an offer they "cannot refuse".

Genesio told RTL: "He can leave if Lyon want him to. There are some offers that you cannot refuse.

"My desire as manager is that the best players stay and Lacazette is very important for the team. I have been assured by my president that we will keep the player. You never know what could happen right up until the August 31."

Lacazette scored 23 times in all competitions last season.
