Liverpool and Arsenal are reportedly ready to go head to head for the signature of Lille midfielder Renato Sanches.
The Portugal international played a prominent role in Les Dogues' run to the Ligue 1 title last year, scoring one goal and assisting three more in 23 Ligue 1 appearances, although he only started 14 of them.
With Liverpool looking to fill the void left by Georginio Wijnaldum's departure and Arsenal expected to wave goodbye to Granit Xhaka, both sides are thought to be in the market for additions to their respective engine rooms.
According to Onzemondial, the two Premier League powerhouses are preparing to battle one another for the signature of Sanches, who is contracted to Lille for another two years.
Sanches also appeared in all four of Portugal's matches at Euro 2020 - starting two of them - but he ended the tournament without a goal contribution as the reigning champions bowed out in the last-16 stage.
The former Bayern Munich man struggled with injuries for a good chunk of last season, though, and he boasts a total of five goals and five assists in 59 appearances for Lille.
