Arsenal reserve goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has liked a post on social media calling for manager Unai Emery to be sacked.

The Gunners boss, appointed in the summer of 2018, finds himself under pressure having managed just one victory from the club's last six games.

Moreover, Emery has attracted criticism for his handling of the Granit Xhaka saga as well as his continued omission of playmaker Mesut Ozil from the starting XI.

Earlier this week, it was noticed that Martinez had, along with 13,000 others, liked a post which stated: "Like for Emery out".

Despite pressure on the Spaniard, the North London club recently made it clear that they remained fully behind the former Sevilla and Paris Saint-Germain boss.

Those within the hierarchy believe that Arsenal's six games - against quite modest opposition - represent a chance for Emery to turn things around.
