Arsenal are reportedly lining up a £30m bid for Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney.
Rooney's future was subject of intense speculation during the transfer window with the Red Devils rejecting two bids from Chelsea for the England international.
The Gunners were also believed to be keen on Rooney and will return in January with the offer, according to the Daily Mail.
Manager Arsene Wenger added Mesut Ozil to his squad for a record-breaking £42.5m on transfer deadline day and the Frenchman will be backed with funds again in the winter window.
Rooney has 18 months left on his current deal at Old Trafford.
