Alexis Sanchez plays down Real Madrid rumours

Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez insists that he is "very happy" at the Gunners following speculation linking him with a move to Real Madrid.

Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has poured cold water over speculation linking him with a move to Real Madrid.

Recent reports in English and Spanish press have suggested that Los Blancos are lining up a bid for the former Barcelona man in an attempt to entice him back to La Liga.

However, when questioned over the rumours during a press conference in his native Chile, the attacker told reporters that he is "very happy" at Arsenal.

Sanchez went on to say that he 'doesn't think about leaving' the Gunners, who currently sit second in the Premier League table following their 3-0 victory over Manchester United before the international break.

Sanchez scored twice in that match to make it six goals in his last three club games, while he also found the net three times in two outings for Chile during the recent international break.

The Gunners are next in action when they take on Watford at Vicarage Road this weekend.
