Club record-goalscorer Thierry Henry may still return to Arsenal for a third spell on a short-term loan move in the January transfer window, manager Arsene Wenger reveals.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that he is still considering a loan move for record goalscorer Thierry Henry.

The 35-year-old, who has finished the MLS campaign with current club New York Red Bulls, rejoined the Gunners on a temporary switch this time last season.

Several strikers, including Demba Ba and David Villa, have been linked with a January move to the Emirates, with Wenger reportedly looking to add more firepower to his attack.

While he has claimed that no discussions have taken place between the two parties, the Frenchman has revealed that he may offer Henry a third spell with the club.

Wenger said: "I've not lost interest in him. He's still coming to practise with us.

"Our relationship is very close but, at the moment, I think he has had a second spell at the club that was very successful. You have to be cautious that it's not one time too many.

"I have not completely ruled it out but I haven't spoken about it with him at all."

Henry has scored 228 goals for the North London outfit in 375 appearances.
