Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has admitted that he must strengthen his side in the closing days of the transfer window, but will refuse to make any panic buys.
Arsenal supporters have vented their frustrations at the lack of activity in terms of bringing new players to the club, though Wenger insists the right decisions must be made.
The Frenchman accepts that his squad is short on numbers, particularly with the injuries suffered to key players already taking their toll.
"We are a bit short numbers-wise for the whole season, to go for all the competitions," Wenger told reporters.
"We have at the moment injured players, like [Alex Oxlade] Chamberlain, like [Mikel] Arteta.
"But we have as well not to panic and to make the right decision. Under pressure, that's never easy. But we will do it."
Young striker Yaya Sanogo is Arsenal's only signing this summer.
