Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere says that there has been no progress regarding discussions over a new contract at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has said that there has been "no progress" regarding a new contract at the Emirates Stadium.

Earlier this season, manager Arsene Wenger challenged Wilshere - who has just six months remaining on his existing deal - to prove his fitness before talks could get underway.

However, Wilshere has now completed 90 minutes in five successive Premier League fixtures, including on Wednesday night when the 25-year-old netted in the 2-2 draw with Chelsea.

Wilshere has now made 13 starts and six substitute appearances in all competitions this season, but the playmaker has told Sky Sports News that there have been no developments with his future.

Clubs from around Europe continue to be linked with the England international, with West Ham United, Sampdoria and Real Betis taking an interest in the long-serving Gunner.
