Jordan Bowery's progression at Aston Villa receives high praise from his teammate Gabriel Agbonlahor.

Gabriel Agbonlahor has hailed the development of Aston Villa teammate Jordan Bowery since he joined the club.

Twenty-one-year-old Bowery, who signed on at Villa Park in the summer from League Two Chesterfield in the summer, has made just eight appearances this season.

However, despite his limited outings, Agbonlahor has insisted that he has seen enough of the Nottingham-born striker to know that he will be a "really good player" for Villa.

"Jordan is a big strong player. He's got a yard of pace as well," he told the club's official website. "It's all new to him. He is getting used to the tempo of the Premier League.

"He's learning every day and the boys have noticed in training that he's getting better. I reckon he will become a really good player."

Bowery has failed to find the net during his eight matches.
