Stan Collymore hits out at Aston Villa hierarchy

Stan Collymore hits out at Aston Villa officials after the club appear to have failed to sign any new players on transfer deadline day.

Former Aston Villa striker Stan Collymore has accused owner Randy Lerner and chief executive Tom Fox of having let the season-ticket holders down today.

With his side rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table and 10 points adrift of safety, Villa manager Remi Garde has made no secret of his desire to bolster his squad during the transfer window.

However, as the deadline approaches, there have been no new arrivals at Villa Park, which has resulted in Collymore's expletive criticism of the club's hierarchy.

"Tom Fox and Mr Lerner. You let the season ticket holders down today. Not even a fucking glimmer of a signing to give them a lift," he wrote on Twitter.

Garde's men are in action tomorrow night with a trip to West Ham United.
