Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has insisted that his players are "mentally strong enough" to turn around the club's worst start to a season in 26 years.
The Villans, who are 17th in the Premier League table, currently have five points and were relegated the last time that they amassed such a total after eight games.
"It is important they don't get their heads down. I have told them that. They will get knocks along the way and it is how you bounce back," said Lambert.
"I think they will be fine. I think they are mentally strong enough to handle it."
Lambert's former club Norwich City travel to Villa Park in the Premier League on Saturday.
